Beliefs
The Word of God
The Bible is inerrant, infallible, central in our faith and practice as individuals and as a church, and is sufficient for all circumstances of life. It is God's final and complete specific revelation.
Humanity
Humanity is God's special creation, created in God’s own image and for His glory. God created us male and female as the crowning work of His creation. Humanity lives in active rebellion against God as a result sin. Now, by nature and by choice, humanity left to itself seeks after its own glory rather than the glory of God. Only faith in Jesus Christ can bring a human being back into right relationship with God.
God
There is one and only one living God. God has eternally existed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.
The Father
God as Father reigns with providential care over His universe, His creatures and the flow of the stream of human history. God is sovereign over all the universe. All things are under His authority and perfect plan.
The Son
Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. In His incarnation, He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He is 100% God and 100% man. He lived the perfect life and never sinned. He died on the cross satisfying God's wrath towards sin which enables mankind, through Jesus, to enter into fellowship with God. After three days, Jesus resurrected from the dead, conquering death. Jesus currently reigns supreme over all the created order while sitting at God's right hand. One day Jesus will return to earth and act as the final and just judge of all the world.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, fully divine. Through illumination, He enables followers of Jesus Christ to understand truth of Scripture. He calls, saves, and regenerates all who repent and believe the Gospel.
Salvation
Salvation is offered by God to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Salvation can only be accessed through grace by faith in the total surrender of repentance. To repent is to turn away from the world of sin and turn back to loving God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life — no one goes to God without Jesus Christ.
The Church
The local church is a congregation of baptized believers, associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the Gospel.
