Lessons Learned
1 Thessalonians 2:13-20
by Wayne Gaeddert
1. It’s not enough to hear the gospel, it must be received and accepted.
2. “We unconsciously imitate what pleases us and approximate to the characters we most admire.” Christian Nestell Bovee
3. Opposing God’s servants invites God’s wrath.
4. It’s never wrong for you to express your love in word or deed to your brothers and sisters in Christ.
5. People from all walks of life that become believers have a common thread—they want to please Jesus.
6. Application:
· When people from every walk of life come to Jesus, they are brothers/sisters in Christ with the desire to be like Jesus.
· God’s wrath is reserved for those who reject God’s provision for salvation through Jesus.
· New believers need to be discipled to establish a spiritual foundation so that they can withstand the attack of the enemy.
