Acts 3:12-26

Lessons Learned

1. Acts 2:43 indicates that the apostles were doing signs and wonders before the people. In Acts chapter 3, Luke gives us an example of a sign, the healing of the man lame from birth.

2. Acts 4:4 tells us that 5,000 believed after hearing Peter’s sermon.

3. Acts 4:22 tells us this man was more than forty years old.

4. Seize the opportunity to glorify Christ.

5. Present the gospel as a humble servant.

6. Faith in Jesus is essential to be used by God.

7. Ignorance does not excuse your sin.

8. Repentance means you abandon sinful habits.

9. Repentance comes with the blessing or removed guilt.

10. In order to understand the ‘good news,’ you need to know the ‘bad news.’

11. ‘These days’ in verse 24 means the days when God has sent the Holy Spirit to indwell believers.

12. Application:

• Always be ready to speak up for Jesus.

  • “But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect.” 1 Peter 3:15

• God’s forgiveness wipes your slate clean.

• Faith unleashes the power of God.
