Lessons Learned

Isaiah 40

1. Isaiah 40:18-31 is a conclusion of verses 1-17.

2. Comfort that brings peace to the soul is only found in Jesus.

3. When Jesus comes again, everyone will see Him.

4. God’s Word is eternal.

5. Compared to eternity, our life time on earth fades away quickly.

6. We have God’s Word and are without excuse for not knowing what God has said.

7. When Jesus comes again:

• He will come as a conquering king.

• He will come bearing rewards for His people.

• For those who are prepared to meet Him, He will be a gentle Shepherd.

8. All world and local leaders are given the power to rule from God.

9. “For he is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer.” Romans 13:4

10. The total number of stars in the universe by astronomers is estimated to be 10 billion trillion (10^22). God created them all and knows them by name.

11. Since God keeps track of all the stars by name, He certainly knows all about those whom Jesus died to save from destruction.

12. Waiting on the LORD is the key to renewed strength to face your daily battles.

·     Soar like an eagle above the distractions of life.

·     Run the race of living for Jesus without being weary.

·     Walking in the path of the LORD without fainting.
