Colossians 3:17-4:6

1. God calls the wife to willingly submit to the leadership of the husband.
2. God calls the husband to love (agapao) his wife sacrificially.
3. The gospel impacts all areas of a Christian’s life.
4. Paul’s explanation of family relationships emphasizes that everyone in the family is under the authority of Jesus.
5. Children honor God by obeying their parents.
6. The wife's submission to her husband is to mirror the church as it submits to Christ as its head.
7. The husband’s love for his wife is to mirror Christ’s love for the church. (sacrifice, provision).

11. Application:
The family is God’s fundamental building block for society. Each member must fulfill their role in the family to honor God.
Believers can demonstrate Christ in how they work and lead.
Believers should depend upon prayer to guide them as they interact with others.
