I. Creation
A. Where were you (Job) when the earth’s foundation was set?
B. Who determined the measurements of the earth?
C. Who set the limits for the sea when it was born?

3. The book of Job refutes the premise that God is obligated to bless man if he obeys.
4. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:9 ESV
5. When things appear to be out of control, God is still in charge.

7. When confronted by God, Job was teachable.
8. We answer to those in authority over us, therefore, God was not required to answer to Job.

11. Theophany - A visible manifestation of God to man. Examples from Old Testament: the burning bush, pillar of cloud, pillar of fire.
12. God speaking to Job from the whirlwind was not a windstorm but rather a theophany. NKJV study notes
13. Application:
Standing before God is a humbling experience, even for a righteous man like Job.
God’s wisdom and power are more than we can comprehend.
You can trust your life to God’s wisdom and power.
