Ecclesiastes 9:1-10

1. Life is uncertain and unpredictable because of the fallen condition of mankind.
2. It is beyond the capacity of man to understand how and why God’s plans unfold in their life the way they do.
3. God is working in the lives of Christians for their good. “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28 ESV
4. The conditions of life are uncertain but death is certain for all people.
5. Jesus conquered death, therefore, the believer in Christ need not fear death.
6. “Precious in the sight of the Lord
is the death of his saints.” Psalm 116:15 ESV
7. Don’t be jealous when the wicked prosper, they must give an account of their life before Christ who will judge and administer justice to them for their deeds.
8. During this life is your only opportunity to prepare for your eternal destiny. Death closes the opportunity to make peace with God through Jesus Christ.
9. Enjoy the blessings God allows you to have

Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?

14. Application:
The fact of life is that we will die and face judgment. See Hebrews 9:27
Believers can live with hope and purpose knowing that Christ defeated death through His resurrection. See 1 Corinthians 15:54-57
Believers should treat life as a precious gift, making the most of their lives for Christ’s glory.
