3. Proverbs speaks about friends: (From NIV)
· The righteous choose their friends carefully,

· The poor are shunned even by their neighbors,
but the rich have many friends. 14:20
· Wealth attracts many friends,
but even the closest friend of the poor person deserts them. 19:4
· A friend loves at all times,
and a brother is born for a time of adversity. 17:17
· One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin,
but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. 18:24
· Wounds from a friend can be trusted,

9. God’s justice, righteousness, and judgment demand our death. But God’s love, grace, kindness, mercy, and forgiveness gives life.
10. How do you respond when confronted with sin? Run from God or fall at his feet seeking forgiveness and restoration?
11. ‘Condemn’ involves both invoking a sentence and executing its penalty.
12. “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” John 3:17
13. The treasury receptacles were positioned around the court of the women so both men and women could make contributions to the temple.
14. Part of the Feast of Tabernacles/Booths was lighting candles around the court of women to light the temple in the night. A reminder of the fire/cloud that God used to lead the Israelites in the wilderness.

17. Light dispels darkness. Darkness must flee from the presence of light.
18. Application:
Sin clouds our ability to judge, let God be the judge.
When confronted with sin, the best thing you can do is confess and repent.
Jesus is the light that leads to the kingdom of God. Follow Him.
